The beautiful bay and beach of Brucoli, a small fishing village, are located about 13 miles from Catania, 18 from Syracuse and 31 from Taormina. Famous for the Aragonese castle that surmounts the incredible port-channel where the fishing boats that supply the many typical restaurants on the sea, is a destination of local inhabitants and unknown to tourists. The shape of the coast acts as a shelter for its blue and crystalline sea, keeping it always calm; protected from winds and currents makes it a perfect mooring for boats.

Full Day

The wonderful bay and beach of Brucoli, a small fishing village, is located about 13 miles from Catania, 18 from Syracuse and 31 from Taormina. Famous for the Aragonese castle that surmounts the incredible port-canal where the fishing boats that supply the many typical restaurants on the sea take refuge, it is a destination for local inhabitants and unknown to tourists. The conformation of the coast acts as a shelter for its blue and crystalline sea, keeping it almost calm; protected from winds and currents it makes it a perfect berth for boats. The Aragonese Castle of Brucoli was built in the fifteenth century as a watchtower to guard the coast, guard and protect against Turkish-barbarian incursions. The coast is pure rock that pushes abruptly towards the sea, with cliffs up to ten meters high that plunge into a splendid blue base, creating small caves and inlets for fish and crustaceans, easily visible for those who want to snorkel. Depending on the place of departure (Syracuse, Catania, Riposto or Taormina) we will make some stops in various bays along the route.
